OMG! A New ‘Bridgerton’ Spinoff Is Officially Happening—Here’s What to Know

Guys! This is not a drill! A new Bridgerton spinoff has officially been confirmed by Netflix and we cannot wait.

The new spinoff series was confirmed by Netflix today (October 8) and drumroll please...the new series will be focused on the early life of a young Lady Violet and her romance with Viscount Edmund Bridgerton.

In a new statement shared on X earlier today, Netflix said: "Dearest Gentle Reader... A new series chronicling the romance of young Violet and Viscount Edmund Bridgerton is coming!"

We have been waiting for this for years! So far, a release date or name of the series has not yet been confirmed.

There have also not been any cast details released for the series. We've seen a small glimpse of a young Lady Violet in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story when she was a child starring alongside a young version of Lady Agatha Danbury.

In that series, Lady Violet is played by Connie Jenkins-Greig, however, it’s not confirmed if she will reprise her role in this new series.

We've also briefly seen a glimpse of Edmund Bridgerton in the second season during the throwback scenes of Anthony's story, however, this will be the first time we'll get to see him front and center of the story.

Shonda Rhimes and Nicholas Nardini will be the writers, showrunners, and executive producers on the series.

Before we see this series, though, we'll be seeing Francesca (Hannah Dodds) and Michaela's (Masali Baduz) love story play out on screen.

Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix now.
