A dog has finally found his fur-ever home after waiting for 401 days.
Earlier this month, a couple adopted Timothy, a mixed-breed dog, from Wags & Walks Nashville.
Timothy, who was first rescued in September 2025, “spent more than a year waiting for a family to call his own,” the Tennessee nonprofit said.
“Despite receiving little adoption interest, the sweet, goofy and loving pup never stopped bringing joy to everyone around him,” Wags & Walks Nashville added.
The animal organization celebrated Timothy going home with his new family with a celebration at the Wags & Walks Adoption Center, located in Hermitage.

Back in January, Wags & Walks Nashville highlighted Timothy — and how he was still looking for a home at the time — in an Instagram post.
“Meet Timothy, a 1-year-old, 45lb mixed-breed sweetheart with the prettiest eyes you’ve ever seen! 💙,” the animal establishment wrote, sharing a photograph of the canine.
“He’s happy to zoom around, go for a nice walk, or curl up right next to you (or in your lap) for hours of snuggles,” Wags & Walks Nashville continued of Timothy. “He’s a big fan of playtime (especially if sticks are involved) and would make the perfect running buddy, walking companion, or cuddle partner.”

Wags & Walks Nashville detailed that Timothy “does wonderfully with other dogs and kids, is potty trained and crate trained, and even enjoys his crate as a cozy, safe place to relax.”
Still, the nonprofit explained at the time, “He’s still gaining confidence with being alone and is making great progress with consistency and reassurance.”
