There was that iconic zoo walk, the time he rudely left her on a boat (never getting over it), and, of course, the fact that Tay was spotted wearing his paper airplane necklace, which she ripped off in the video for “Out of the Woods.”
Things were pretty dramatic there for a moment, but Harry and Taylor have gone on to become friendly exes, and now fans are convinced Harry just credited her for helping him become more outgoing.
Speaking to Rolling Stone in a recent video interview, Harry said, “In the early days, when I was in the band, so much of the hotel experience felt very locked-in. When I’d be home, it felt like, ‘Oh, it’s not safe for me to be out.’”
He then added, “I had a girlfriend who was very outgoing, and she was coming to London and I was like, ‘Oh, if we just sit in my house for three days, she’s gonna think I’m nuts.’ So we walked everywhere, and it was this realization for me: ‘Oh, it’s fine to be outside.’”
Harry didn’t mention Taylor by name, but fans are jumping to conclusions and assuming he was talking about her. However, if you take a look at his relationship history , Tay is not the only person Harry was dating during the early days of his fame.
Before he and Taylor started things in 2012, Harry was linked to Caroline Flack, Emily Atack, and Emma Ostilly. And after he and Taylor ended things in 2013, Harry dated Kendall Jenner. So, while jumping to a Taylor Swift conclusion is understandable, please be advised that Harry hasn't revealed a name just yet!
